Virtual Forest Bathing and Nature Therapy

Connect to the land where you are, or let FIND Outdoors bring the forest and the majestic Appalachian Mountains to your living room. Inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese art of “forest bathing,” join us for this live experience as we immerse ourselves in nature in a way that invites healing for the body and mind, our fraught ecosystems, and our community.

We’ll awaken our senses, quiet our minds, and restore our relationship with ourselves, each other and the land with a guided sensory experience and a slow, gentle walk to appreciate the healing benefits of nature. A series of thoughtfully crafted activities invite participants to experience nature in a new way. The forest is the therapist. Your certified forest therapy guide opens the door.

It all culminates with a virtual tea ceremony. Bring your own beverage and join the conversation with participants from around the world to complete the experience. Upon departure, we’ll have an enhanced appreciation for the natural world, and a new practice that we can readily apply in our daily lives.

This experience is offered to the global community live via Zoom. It takes place at 9 a.m. or 4 p.m. EDT on Saturdays and lasts approximately 2 hours. Detailed instructions on how to join will be provided with your registration confirmation email.

Fees are on a sliding scale (minimum $15) to ensure access for all, regardless of economic status. Please consider that the average 2-hour forest therapy walk is $50/person, plus gratuity. Your contribution helps support FIND Outdoors' educational programs. If you’re experiencing financial hardship, email to request a scholarship code. If you’re financially able, consider increasing your contribution to “pay it forward” for someone else.
